Tampere Centre for skills training and simulation

The brand-new Tampere Centre for skills training and simulation as the conference venue

Tampere Centre for skills training and simulation is located at Kauppi Campus near UTA´s schools of Medicine and Health Sciences. There are lecture halls of different sizes where theme sessions are to be held according to the accepted presentations. There are also high-tech simulation complexes with patient simulators and spaces to hold other kinds of workshops too.

Tampere Centre for skills training and simulation is a unique health care learning environment owned by the University of Tampere, Tampere University of Applied Sciences and Tampere University Hospital. Studying at the Centre began in August 2016. Medical students, health care students and professionals can practise for example patient examination, resuscitation or wound suturing in multiprofessional teams at the centre, which provides conditions as close to the casualty or operating theatre as possible. Docent in pediatrics and clinical lecturer Nina Hutri-Kähönen is Executive Manager of the Centre.
